Orbis Lumen offers remote systems administration and technical support on all our Linux-based workstations and servers.

IT SUPPORT SERVICES

Orbis Lumen will work closely with your IT staff to ensure the best possible IT support is available to your organization's end users. For smaller organizations, Orbis Lumen will happily act as your IT department for ongoing systems requests and support.

Our support services are available for both end-user workstations and system servers. Requests for general and administrative system tasks are requested by your organization's designated authority.

Clients with existing IT support staff can significantly reduce support costs by designating an individual or group of individuals as point contacts between the organization and Orbis Lumen.

  • User creation and deletion
  • Fileshare management
  • Website control and staging
  • Domain name control and updates
  • Operating system and application updates
  • Backup management
  • VPN access control
  • Firewall control and monitoring
  • Hardware monitoring
  • Storage and network utilization analysis
  • DHCP network management
  • Authentication management
  • General technical questions

It is the goal of Orbis Lumen to make our clients feel comfortable calling with questions of any sort, at any time, and to educate our clients along the way.

All Orbis Lumen workstations come with two weeks of free support while servers come with one month of free support. Larger deployments will receive support as defined within the contract.

After these periods, support is available at very reasonable prices on a case-by-case basis or on a per-seat basis.

Non-profit organizations or organizations devoted to humanitarian causes may receive free support services or sliding scale rates.
